Welcome to Youth Motivator. I would like to tell you the inspirational journey of a poor tea seller to becoming the prime minister of India.
In his childhood, he experienced many problems and failed to receive a proper education because of the poverty.
His family even struggled for square meals.
At that time, no one around him would have expected this poor boy to grow to become the prime minister of the largest democracy in the world, India.
Even though Narendra Modi was born into a very poor family, he reached great heights with his hard work, dedication and patriotism.
This is a very inspiring story of Narendra Modi.
By reading this article you will know how he overcame numerous challenges in his life.

Narendra Damodardas Modi was born on 17 September 1950 in a small village by name, Vadnagar in the Bombay State, India.
He was born in the present-day Gujarat as on 1 May 1960, the Bombay state was partitioned to form Maharashtra and Gujarat states.
Narendra Modi was the third child of the six children born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi and Hiraben Modi.
His family was very poor and used to reside in a poor hut.
His father, Damodardas Mulchand Modi used to run a small tea stall at the Vadnagar railway station.
And his mother, Hiraben Modi used to work as a maid in the neighbourhood to support the family.
At an age when children play, Narendra Modi understood the financial situation of his family and as a result he used to help his father in running the tea stall.
He also used to sell the tea in the trains.

Narendra Modi was a good student and used to actively participate in sports, dramas and elocution competitions.
He completed his higher secondary education from the local B N High School in Vadnagar in the year 1967.
Narendra Modi got engaged to Jashodaben Chimanlal when he was just 13 years old.
When Narendra Modi turned 17, he was married to Jashodaben Chimanlal.
His marriage obligations came to an end when he left the home during this same year to explore the country.
An unmarried person can aggressively fight against corruption when compared to a married person because the unmarried person doesn’t have the concerns of a wife and children.
In the year 1978, Narendra Modi received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from School of Open Learning at University of Delhi.
And in the year 1983, he completed his Masters in political science from Gujarat University.

His inspiration-

Narendra Modi was greatly influenced by Swami Vivekananda.
In his childhood, he used to spend most of his time in the library located in his village.
The staffs of the library were upset with him because they wanted to close the library and leave for the day early, but Narendra Modi used to stay in the library till the closing time.
Narendra Modi is an avid reader.
He was very influenced by Swami Vivekananda and he took him as his role model.

Narendra is an inspiration for Narendra-

An interesting thing to be noted is that the original name of Swami Vivekananda is also Narendra (Narendranath Datta).
His hobby is reading books but now he feels sad because he cannot afford to read due to his very busy schedule.
Narendra Modi got so influenced by Swami Vivekananda that he left his home even without informing his family when he was 17 years old for exploring India.
He went on to explore the country after completing his schooling and eventually reached the Himalayas.
After returning from the Himalayas, Narendra Modi opened his own tea stall in Ahmedabad.
During this time, he got bonded with the RSS and used to prepare breakfast and tea for the RSS workers.
Later, Narendra Modi started to work for the social causes.

Patriotic since childhood-

Narendra Modi is very patriotic since his childhood.
During the India-China War in the year 1962 and during the India-Pakistan war in the year 1965, Narendra Modi used to distribute food and tea to the soldiers travelling by the train.
He joined RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) when he was just eight years old and used to spend most of his time for RSS.

RSS is the world's largest voluntary organisation and NGO formed on 27 September 1925 by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
One of the main motives of the RSS organisation is to select and train the best leaders to run the country effectively.
The daily routine of Narendra Modi at RSS started by waking up in the early morning at 5 A.M. and he used to work till the night.
He travelled the Gujarat state to understand the problems of the people.

Getting influenced by the values-

RSS greatly influenced the personality of Narendra Modi in a very positive way; here he learned the value of discipline, team work, leadership, focus, time management and traditions.
He leads a disciplined life and wakes up early in the morning, no matter at what time he sleeps.
Narendra Modi derives inspiration and excitement to accomplish great things from several great personalities at RSS.
RSS has taught him great values because of which he became the Prime Minister of India.
Narendra Modi describes about RSS in his book, Jyotipunj.
During the year 1975, Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India declared emergency because of the prevailing internal disturbance.
As a result the activities of RSS were restricted.
Even during the emergency times, Narendra Modi serviced the nation and bravely fought against the unfair rules and regulations imposed by then government.
During these times, Narendra Modi authored a book, Sangharshma Gujarat meaning Gujarat in emergency. In this book, he describes about the politics of the Gujarat state.

Entering into BJP-

His great contributions were noticed in RSS by which in the year, 1985 he was enrolled into the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party), the world's largest party.
Narendra Modi entered into the BJP and served the party relentlessly.
In the year 1990, he successfully organised the Ram Rath Yatra by L.K. Advani which started from Somnath and ended in Ayodhya.
Narendra Modi also took the responsibility of the Ekta Yatra which means Journey for Unity by Murli Manohar Joshi.
Eventually, everyone in the party started to recognise Narendra Modi.
Many senior leaders of the BJP were impressed by his management skills as a result he rose in the positions in the party.
In the year 1995, BJP won the Gujarat assembly elections, all thanks to the sincere efforts and strategies of Narendra Modi.
And later, Keshubhai Patel became the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Narendra Modi was invited to New Delhi where he was offered a position of Union Minister.
In the year 2001, the health of Keshubhai Patel started to deteriorate and also the party was losing its grip in Gujarat.

Becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat-

So, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister of India decided to appoint Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
On October 2001, Narendra Modi succeeded Keshubhai Patel as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Later, he contested for the Rajkot – II constituency.
Narendra Modi defeated Ashwin Mehta of Indian National Congress by a huge margin.
Narendra Modi did his best to the Gujarat state during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
He strived to provide electricity to all the villages in the state and boosted the tourism in the state.
The rivers in the Gujarat were interconnected by which the water shortage issues of the state got sorted out.
Under his leadership, Gujarat became one of the best states in India.

Becoming a Chief Minister for four times-

The people of Gujarat were very satisfied with his governance, by which they re-elected Narendra Modi as their Chief Minister for four times.
This made Narendra Modi the longest serving Chief Minister of Gujarat, he served as a Chief Minister for twelve and a half years.
The seniors in BJP were very impressed by Narendra Modi, so they nominated him as the BJP’s candidate for prime minister in the year 2014 in the Lok Sabha election.

Narendra Modi rallied the whole country to better understand the nation and connect with its people.
He utilised the power of social media to connect with the masses and shared his thoughts through them.
The people of India were moved with his patriotic feelings, his contributions and developments he made in Gujarat and his wonderful speeches and affirmative thoughts.
He is a great orator and he conveys his message to the public through his excellent communication skills.
As a result, Narendra Modi was elected as the 14th prime minister of India.
He won the hearts of the Indians through his service to the nation by which for the second time, he got elected as the prime minister of India.
Narendra Modi is a very thought-provoking and inspiring leader.
He not only takes the best possible decisions for the country but also implements them.

Very industrious person-

Narendra Modi is a very industrious person; he works for 18 hours per day.
He is a pure vegetarian and fasts on the nine days of Navaratri.
Narendra Modi takes a very good care for his health and he practices yoga on a daily basis.
He shows a great respect for his mother, Hiraben Modi and says that he requires nothing except his mother’s blessings.

The world's largest statue-

Narendra Modi inaugurated the world's largest statue, Statue of Unity dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 October 2018.
This statue measures a whopping 182 metres (597 feet) in height.
This boosted tourism in the state.

A movie on Modi-

A movie based on the life story of Narendra Modi, PM Narendra Modi was released on 24 May 2019.

The fearless man-

Narendra Modi along with Murli Manohar Joshi, the ex-president of BJP went to unfurl the national flag at the Lal Chowk in Srinagar, the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.
At the Lal Chowk, the posters were set up by the terrorists challenging anyone to unfurl the Indian flag in that area.
Narendra Modi travelled from Kanyakumari to Kashmir carrying the national flag along with him.
During this travel, he gave speeches all over the country, in which he mentioned that he will definitely unfurl the national flag on 26th January at the Lal Chowk area exactly at 11 AM.
Narendra Modi declared that he will not use a bullet proof car or bullet proof jacket and will not carry any weapons for his defence.
This was the most dangerous day of his life, as during the unfurling of the flag, the terrorists fired missiles on him.

Luckily, Narendra Modi narrowly escaped them and proudly unfurled the Indian flag in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
The terrorists also fired on his aircraft but they failed to invoke fear in the mind of Narendra Modi.
This proves that he always strives to put the nation first before anything else.

The Modi Mantras-

Believe in yourself-

It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor the only thing which matters in your life is whether you believe in yourself and your capabilities.
Narendra Modi hailed from a very poor family which had no political background and political knowledge but due to his will and self-confidence, he became the prime minister of India.
Narendra Modi made his own career path by his hard work and dedication.
So, you must not be concerned with your family background and your financial status, you will only succeed when you have a fire to do something.

Focus on providing value-

If you only focus on amassing wealth, then you will not accomplish your dreams.
But when you try to add value to the other’s lives, then the money will automatically flow in.
You must focus more on improving your skills and doing a better job instead of just focusing on earning wealth.

Maintain your focus-

Many young people have difficulty in choosing a single suitable career path.
If in a morning, they see the success story of a cricketer in a newspaper, they wish to become a cricketer.
And later if in afternoon they see about an actor in television, they change their mind and wish to become an actor.
And if in the evening, they come across a successful doctor, they again change their mind and want to become a doctor.
So, many people cannot focus on one single career path for more than a week.
With the completion of a week, they think of new career ideas.
Many kill their dreams in its infancy but some people are even worse, they even do not dare to dream.
Having dreams (career path) is not a bad thing but constantly changing your dreams is a bad thing.
When you focus on one single thing for a sufficient time, you will get dedication and if you add industry (hard work) to the dedication, then you will accomplish great things.

Dignity of labour-

Once, Narendra Modi was travelling by a train from his village Vadnagar to Visnagar.
Then, he saw a young boy aged between 12 to 15 years enter into the train.
He was suffering from polio and the lower half of his body was not functional.
The boy entered the train with a great difficulty.
Although he was appearing like a beggar with his murky clothes, he was not begging.
The young boy was requesting the passengers to allow him to polish their shoes.
Out of pity, some people offered him their shoes for polishing.
Then surprisingly, the boy took out an English newspaper from his dirty bag.
On the front page of that newspaper, it was written let your day be good and we wish all the best for your endeavours.
This boy used to offer the newspaper to his customers and the customers used to read the newspaper while the boy polished their shoes.
Many were surprised because the boy used to charge less for his work, much lesser than the actual cost of the newspaper.
Narendra Modi was keenly observing the boy and out of curiosity he started a conversation with the boy and the boy told that he hailed from Karnataka.
There was no one in his family except his ill father.
So, he started working at such young age to support himself and his ill father.
The boy told that he likes to service the people, so he purchases a newspaper in the morning and begins his work of polishing shoes.
He offers his customers to read the newspaper and in the meantime, he polishes their shoes, by which he receives both blessings and money from them.
Narendra Modi was very impressed by the professionalism of the boy.
And he says that who gets involved in his work deeply will experience a great satisfaction.

Become extraordinary-

It does not matter if you are an ordinary person from an ordinary family, what does matter is when you accomplish extra-ordinary things.

Don’t stress the young minds too much-

Narendra Modi says that the children should be given freedom to choose their own careers and parents should never impose their own, unfulfilled dreams on their children as this produces great stress in the young minds of the children.

The common story of every first generation startup-

Many first generation entrepreneurs face opposition from their families and friends.
The family members advise them to work at a normal job while abandoning their startup dreams.
The friends will make fun of their business ideas and will provide free incompetent advices.
But when an entrepreneur sticks to his dreams, he will face severe opposition from his family and friends for not listening to their advices of doing a safe and routine job.
These same people will consider you as their role model when you achieve success by your startup, by not giving heed to their humiliations and unnecessary advices.
This is the story of every startup, the entrepreneurs do not start when the conditions are appropriate but instead they start when they get amazing ideas and work hard to change the conditions.
Narendra Modi supports startups and industries and requests them to contribute to the development of the nation.
